Roving Volunteers in Christ's Service

A retirement program like no other

Serving Christian ministries since 1977

Interested in hosting
an RVICS project?

Thank you for your interest in hosting a team of RVICS missionary members at your ministry. We urge you to preview the information on this website to gain more insight into the ministry, the requirements to become an RVICS missionary member, and the needs of our teams while on project, including those required needs for the RV's our missionaries live in while on the project.

Our projects are scheduled for a duration of 3 weeks each, according to normal climate cycles. For example, in the winter months we will schedule our teams for projects in the southern states, like Florida, Texas, Arizona and California. As the temperatures warm, our teams begin to move further north, before heading south again in mid-fall. Please note that projects are scheduled 7-12 months in advance, which means that potential project hosts need to plan ahead on scheduling an RVICS team at their location.

You will also find on the 'Membership' menu tab of the website the requirements to become an RVICS missionary. All RVICS members are required to go through a background check as one of the qualifications of becoming an RVICS member. This must be done before one can be approved to serve at a project location.

Qualifications for being considered as a possible RVICS project

To qualify for the services of an RVICS project team, the ministry must be actively and earnestly promoting the Lord Jesus Christ, His Love, and saving Grace to whomever they are ministering. They must also fully embrace the RVICS Statement of Faith.

In addition the ministry must:

RVICS will not knowingly serve any ministry receiving government funding, or any ministry connected with the World or National Council of Churches.

Some comments from past hosts...

I have heard of the RVICS groups from previous years when they would come for a project and then attend our church. But this is the very first time that I had the privilege to work side by side with the group. ...From the initial meeting with the team leads to meeting the group and completing projects was a complete joy. ...They were a hardworking and hard playing group. ...I was having trouble staying one step ahead of these guys and gals. ...Again, thank you for sending such a great group.

Maintenance Dept., Bluewater Covenant Bible Camp

... I wanted to express my gratitude again at the hard work of the RVICS team that we had here in June. ... All of the help and steadfast service that [the team] provided was much appreciated. I know that we get to reap the benefits of seeing how their efforts help bring our campers into a relationship with Christ but I would like to assure them that their labor is not in vain and their dedication helped allow us to share Christ and His love with our campers. I sincerely hope that we are able to get another team from RVICS out to rural Montana in the future.

Assistant Manager, Eastern Montana Bible Camp

We just want to thank you again for allowing us to host the [RVICS team]. They are such an incredible asset to our workforce and are really part of the Sandy Cove family. They clearly love the RVICS organization! We would welcome the opportunity to have them any time for as many weeks as possible in 2021.

Volunteer Coordinator, Sandy Cove Ministries

...it’s such a blessing to have them around. Thank you for being willing to dedicate such great resources to our campus both in the past and potentially the future.

President, Thrive Discipleship Program (Bethany Campus)

We appreciate the part RVICS have played in this ministry for over 30 years. In case you hadn't heard, we had 35 salvation decisions here during our weeks of summer camp last year. Your volunteers help keep the camp looking nice and functioning so we can minister to the kids God sends our way each summer. Some sow, some water but God gives the increase. It's a team effort and although your volunteers were not here during the summer, their ministry here impacted the eternity of these young people. Thank you to each RVICS volunteer who ministered here!
